With the development of industry and science and technology, some fields require very high thermal conductivity of PVC plastic pipe profiles, such as heat transfer engineering, electromagnetic shielding, electronic information, etc. They put forward higher requirements for thermal conductive plastic materials, hoping that the materials have excellent comprehensive properties.

In the field of electronics and electricity, with the rapid development of integration technology and assembly technology, the volume of electronic components and logic circuits has shrunk by tens of millions of times. There is an urgent need for high heat dissipation packaging insulating plastics. Therefore, traditional thermal conductive materials can not meet the needs of industrial and technological development because of their excellent comprehensive properties. Filling materials and moulding technology have a great influence on the thermal conductivity of plastics. Therefore, to improve the thermal conductivity of plastics, we can start from the following aspects: first, develop new thermal conductive fillers; second, modify the surface of filler particles.

By definition, the size of particles in composite polymer materials can be considered to have no effect on thermal conductivity. In fact, the thermal conductivity is not affected by the particle diameter when the particle size is more than a few microns. However, the particle diameter in the powder field, that is, when the particle diameter is less than a few microns, the thermal conductivity increases with the particle diameter becoming smaller. PVC pipe profiles are easy to form particle continuum due to the change of particle dispersion state, which increases the thermal conductivity. In other words, the thermal conductivity is affected by different dispersion states. For example, when the particle size of dispersed Al2O3 is less than 1 micron, the thermal conductivity will increase.
